Service Description

Virtual Prenatal Consultation: During your prenatal consultation, we’ll prepare you for your breastfeeding journey before your baby arrives. This 60–90 minute session covers what to expect in the early days of lactation, how to recognize effective latch and milk transfer, common challenges and how to prevent them, and how to create a feeding plan tailored to your birth preferences and goals. We’ll also discuss pumping, returning to work, and anything else that’s important to you. This is a great time to ask questions and build confidence before baby arrives. In-Home Lactation Consultation (with Baby): This 90 minute visit takes place in the comfort of your home and is designed to address feeding challenges or provide guidance after your baby is born. We’ll assess a full feeding session, including latch, positioning, and milk transfer. We’ll also evaluate your breast/chest health, baby’s oral anatomy, and help troubleshoot concerns such as pain, low milk supply, oversupply, nipple damage, engorgement, or bottle feeding. We’ll leave you with a personalized care plan and evidence-based guidance that supports your goals. Virtual Follow-Up Visit Follow-up visits are for ongoing support and adjustment of your feeding plan. We’ll review your progress, reassess any challenges, and make updates to your plan as needed. These visits are especially helpful for situations such as weight gain concerns, pumping transitions, adjusting to combination feeding, or introducing solids. Your care doesn’t end after one visit—we’re here to walk with you through each stage of your feeding journey. Support Calls Support calls are brief 15 - 20 minute, focused check-ins. They’re perfect for quick questions, updates on your care plan, or reassurance between visits. Whether you need help with pumping schedules, milk storage, feeding routines, or just want to talk something through, these calls are designed to give you timely support when you need it most.
